Isoflux Biomed Overview

Brand | Cool created foundational marketing to support Isoflux Biomed’s strategic focus on the biomedical industry. We helped to evolve the Isoflux brand online, at tradeshows and through new sales collateral, expressing the company’s biomed capability in a convincing and compelling way. We also provided support to launch and market their VisTa tantalum coating to the world’s leading stent manufacturers and designers.

When Isoflux came to us to market VisTa, significant investment had been made to assure a high degree of coating integrity as well as biocompatibility. While these benefits were critical, we quickly recognized that selling the product to stent manufacturers required communicating exactly why and how doctors would use such an improved stent—and the value they could envision. We gathered a panel of vascular surgeons to conduct market research and discovered that they saw value even beyond what Isoflux Biomed had envisioned.

The insight triggered key messaging and a brochure that laid out specific, exacting benefits the stent manufacturers would be able to tout to their customers. What might have been marketed as an ‘advance in technology’ coating suddenly become a strong competitive offering, and a ‘must-have.’

The messaging and communications strategy developed for VisTa has been so successful that Isoflux was able to sign its first licensee within months of introducing the product. Other customers, including recognized industry leaders, are evaluating VisTa for a variety of products and Isoflux expects additional licenses to be signed very soon. The success of VisTa has enabled Isoflux to expand its development activities into other related products with even greater potential.
